Menongue — Southern Africa singers will participate in the festival dubbed “Fest-Março23″ on 22-23 March.
The event is an initiative of the government of the south-eastern Kuando Kubango province, under the celebrations of one more anniversary of Kuito Kuanavale battle.
This was said to Angop on Friday by the deputy coordinator of the organisers of event, Marcos Moreira.
He said that “Fest-Março23″ aims to pay homage to the heroes of Kuito Kuanavale battle, whose outcome contributed to the independence of the Republic of Namibia and end of the Apartheid regime in South Africa.
According to Segundo Marcos Moreira, is already confirmed the presence of singers from South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, DR Congo, Cuba and Mozambique.
He said that among the foreign singers the event will count on the participation of the South African artist Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
Angolan singers Nagrelha and Puto Prata are confirmed to participate in the festival.
