Luanda — The Angolan musician Nelo de Carvalho released on Saturday in Luanda his first solo album entitled “Encontros” (Meetings).
The album features various guests, such as Ruy Mingas, Waldemar Bastos, Big Neloande Ary (Angola), Tito Paris (Cape Verde), Jacob Desvaireux (French Antilles), Manecas Costa (Guinea Bissau), Fábia Rebordão (Portugal) and José Debray (Cuba), among others.
The album is a combination of various rhythms such as kilapanga, rebita, zouk, bolero, merengue, jazz and funk.
Nelo de Carvalho intends to release the CD in the other provinces of the country.
Nelo de Carvalho, who has been a member of different bands, has a career that spans over 35 years.
